Storms are finally clearing from Victoria and New South Wales this morning after another day of heavy falls and widespread lightning.
The heaviest falls to 9am occurred between Ulladulla and Nowra, including a 51mm total at Point Perpendicular and 68mm at Fishermans Repeater. Storms were widespread in eastern New South Wales and Victoria, but are currently easing off as most storms are swept out to sea this morning.
Severe storm warnings for flash flooding, large hail and damaging winds have now been cancelled in New South Wales.
Although the worst is likely over, scattered storms will redevelop during the afternoon, and make a return tomorrow. These storms are less likely to be severe in terms of flash flooding, but caution should still be exercised.
