Stable Spring weekend - finally - for southeast

After a working week of mostly below average temperatures, much of the southeast is in for a not very hot, not very cold Spring weekend - the first in the hot-cold see-saw seen so far this September and October.

For a refresher: Sydney last weekend was 3 below average and raining after a 35 degree scorcher on the Friday. The previous 2 Saturdays were at least 11 degrees above average, while the first weekend in September was wet, wet, wet, recording the coldest September day in 11 years.

Adelaide has been similarly hot and cold with the 3 hottest days of September, including a 15 degree above average of 34, all occurring on weekends.

This coming weekend will see dry northerlies bringing mostly clear skies and temperatures in the low to mid-twenties for Sydney and Canberra.

Adelaide, unfortunately is in for another hot one, with temperatures near or above 30 degrees both days.
